tips on epoxy fillings

Unread postAuthor: FishBoy » Fri Oct 10, 2008 11:03 am

Ok, i'm re-making my mini coaxial and i need to know how people make those perfect epoxy bushings and stuff. My last method worked, but was a waste of materials and volume.

(JSR i'm talkin to you) :D

Well, you could use some small vice grips to center the barrel in the chamber while you poured and cured the epoxy.

EDIT - nevermind, I see what you're saying.

I think JSR uses rubber in his pours, but don't take my word for it.

ALSO, I believe he has a few posts in the How-To section as well.

As mark linked to above, it's pretty much all explained in the how-to. It's also not too difficult to make jigs to ensure that everything is centred, wrapping tape around a cylindircal object is a very straightforward way of doing this.
