i was diggin around in my lil bros room and found a toy pirate gun. i was thinkin and have to decided to try and build a break barrel type gun. but im not sure what kinda valve would work good in this. also would a QEV work? or should i stick to schrader? i would like to use a 1/2 in barrel and as small a valve as possible

a qev is a main valve ie for releasing air thru the barrel and a shrader is used to fill, or even pilot so your post makes little sense mate.

for a 1/2" barrel you want at least a 1/4" qev if your trying to keep things compact.

lol no offence but that's too funny, Don't know why spudding nerd laugh hek hek hek. You should try to make a piston for yourself it will make you happy once you get it working.

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.
