On topic: those jacks are used to lift houses when the foundation settles crooked. (they're placed under the foundation, jacked and metal braces go in), Or for moving entire houses.

Just remembered at dinner while looking at painting of leaning tower of Piezza (sp.?)...Started Wondering if it could be straightened with enough of those. (Always something spud related).

On the price, those can be rented at tool rental / industrial shops maybe for a day or two at a time. IDK how much.

Been meaning to rent another pressure washer, do some side work, buy spud gear, saw them there...

The leaning tower was starting to lean too far and was in danger of toppling. They straightened it, but not all the way. It was an icon and would be destroyed as a leaning tower if completely fixed.

I was not done with a house jack.
