Sorry for double post but I need clarification on something.

A while back, tech posted a video about his floating O-rings. You will really want floating rings; they are amazing as far as friction goes.

Can you explain a little in detail? I couldn't find that thread.

I've been thinking about this and it works for your piston setup so I bet if you made your piston out of a rubber end cap I bet you could obtain a similar check valve effect like on the secret strike nerf gun

That's a good thought... where do you think I could get such a cap?

they should be available at your local hardware store, they typically come with hose barbs to keep them on things, here's some examples

Oh yeah I've seen those, thanks. The hose clamp should be taken off though. You think it would be tight enough without it? Also, the need for a sealing gasket would be gone, but those letters on the end may need to be taken off so it is flat.

Here's the drawing I came up with for it, I compacted my design even more. By cutting up some bushings, I can eliminate the need for the female adapter and lower the pilot volume. Don't freak out on my for all the O-rings :D I just wanted a good seal. :P
