put a ball valve on your gun and and one to let air out from your hose, just make sure your sure gun is closed off. but i would get high pressure quick connects if your going passed 300psi.

wyz, try the ball valve, or connect it before pressure.

A bleed valve of some sort is a good idea anyway, even high pressure quick disconnects aren't designed to be disconnected under pressure.

Does your compressor have an over current or overheat protection ?

Ah, ok, one sec, lemme try to find a video I saw...

Found it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjW_25fhaNM Skip ahead to about 3:36, he has a regulator with a valve he made, check out the valve and see if it would work. (I suggest you watch through from 3:36 for a full description of how it works...)

not that i know of, its never on long enough to get hot, takes about 40seconds to fill 1l fire extinguisher to 400psi and then i go to shoot, that tank last 20 shots, in that time it cools off.

i riged a safety pop off valve at 450 but when it pops it hits the off switch aswell so it turns its self off

Ok, was just wondering if the higher pressures achieved with your compressor were due to not having the current limiter. Mine won't make it past 1000psi even with a second compressor feeding air to it, the cut off switch always stops it. I'd be interested to test a compressor without the cut off switch to see what happens, but I don't really want to sacrifice one of my two good compressors, I'll have to try and find some more.

Wyz, I am using a clear plastic tube found near the brass fittings at home depot for my sprinkler valve pilot, and it works perfectly. You would need a hose barb to thread, then a coupling and then the industrial connection to make it be a quick connect.

push to connect hose and fittings, that stuff is the bomb. http://cgi.ebay.com/TEN-Push-Connect-Ai ... 483d80ab18

you have to find hose with the pressure rating you need. i have some rated at 2500psi. im sure poland_spud will come soon and give you links galore.

Wyz, it holds one hell of alot... Not sure yet, dont have a compressor to test it, but it holds 40 psi easy... I think it holds 120, but I'm not sure...
