I second Gun freak, upload as unlisted.

Nice to hear its working. I would suggest looking at a 2d electronics simulator to figure out how to make a select fire. Or, look up how to make an led pulse, but change out the led for your solenoid.

Just curious what fire rate is acceptable for your 3 shot burst?
3 shots per second or otherwise?

The recovery rate of air source and valve open time duration is a large factor.

Granted you can make a circuit that has a wide range but for better results you need to further define some reasonable specs.

What solenoid valve did you purchase and are there any specs?

Yenka is a free program that could be used. I have some circuits that could be used.

For those out there with a little more experience or willing to learn could use LTSpice.

Thank you all in first place :)
For automatic or burst fire, 3 shots per second sounds great, the solenoid uses 12v DC, 0.8N holding force, 1.5cm travel distance. The valve needs about 0.5kg to open, 1cm valve stem moving distance. 400 to 800 psi constant air source from a regulated paintball tank.
And yes I thought about using a LED circuit for semi/auto, but haven´t find one that can take 12v.

Like I said, just modify it a bit. Change out the power supply, and it should work.

If I do that, I will have to change a large amount of resistores/transistores etc
and to put them to work I will have to do a lot of calculations.

Yeah that's true. What about buying a premade 12 volt strobe, and then changing the bulb with the solenoid, and then adding a trigger in between the power and the solenoid?

Didn´t fing one that´s alows semi/auto selection, and quite big circuit, also too expensive. As I ordered the 555 timer chipe already, I´d like to put working.

Yenka must of changed their policy because I cannot access it during the day here.

You may want to download it for your own purposes any way.
Good easy learning simple electronics tool.

Only reason I use it is to assist some of the members on this forum.

On the solenoid is there a brand name, part number or model number?

The link is unavailable.
There must be markings on it. Post picture of the solenoid markings or nameplate.

I will work on a schematic for you.

this one then, I bought it there.
Here is also a quick sketch (google sketchup :D , and the hammer size is wrong btw) of the basic gun design just for testing, a better stock will be used later.
