Slightly off topic, interesting project/situation.......

Post questions and info about pneumatic (compressed gas) powered cannons here. This includes discussion about valves, pipe types, compressors, alternate gas setups, and anything else relevant.

We are talking past each other.

When I am talking about shutting off the feed to the chamber, I am also assuming the entire chamber will not be dumped. The chamber will remain sealed when the trigger is pulled. Only after the trigger is pulled and released will the cylinder be allowed to exhaust, yet the chamber will remain sealed from the outside.

I hope I am articulating myself properly.

Anyway, I think a couple things can be done to make some improvements. But, if not, it is a cool project that I have been having fun with.

I am surprised how simple these guns are internally.

Ah ok, I think I understand.

It's basically this but with the air driving a piston instead of firing a projectile.
