I think this might work and solve the portable dilemma...

Post questions and info about pneumatic (compressed gas) powered cannons here. This includes discussion about valves, pipe types, compressors, alternate gas setups, and anything else relevant.

dont do it unless you want to get blown up, you wont be able to controll the amount of pressure in it meaning it will go boom after a while. but other than that it is a good idea i mean if you are suicidal. you could do a test one where its just a remotely activated sprinkler valve and you just see what kind of pressure you could get. just buy Co2 and use that it would be alot cheaper or do what i do and use propane because Co2 is to expensive here in australia.

it seams like everytime some one comes up with a far-fetched and dangerous idea theres 3 people to point out easier, cheaper, safer ways, and potentionaly save his life! all potato guns a potentialy dangerous if you act like an idiot, but most people are smart enough to be safe around them. I say you are a moron!

It is rather stupid IMHO, not for safety risks, but becasue there are much cheaper/easier/quicker ways.
