well,if id get an answer to the question, then i wouldnt be asking it would i?if you dont know it,then dont respond.you know,i have yet to get a straight answer from anyone on here about any one thing.im asking about modding a valve i have, and no one can give me an answer.ive read all i can on here,no one seems to know.one guy tells me it cant be done, when ive already seen one on here just like mine that was.this doest pertain to my valve, but any in general that have been modded with a blow gun and the solenoid removed.so what you tell me that i can epoxy the holes,im not asking that,im asking something else.if you dont know the answer, then move on.ive done a lot of reading on here and no where is my question ansewered.so,if you dont like reading the forum, then close your fing eyes.some people on here seek the knowledge and experience of others that wish to share it and since you dont have any, then keep to yourself.thanks.

Well Dobie on the other hand. From what I read on modding sprinkler valve's on top of it there is the diaphram plate with screws all around the top. Have you taken the diaphram plate off yet? Does it have a rod in the middle? If so you will need to drill a hole off to the side of where the rod is, make sure it dosn't interfere with the spring in the middle or the diaphram. If it don't have a rod in the middle then you can drill a hole in the middle make sure when you drill the hole that it isn't bigger then the blow gun or nipple you are using you'll have to tap the hole to except the threads for the blow gun or nipple you are using. For the solenoid when you take it out just use some JB weld or some kind of epoxy to fill the hole's in under the solenoid other than that, I think that is it to modding a sprinkler valve if you need more help this will tell you pretty much what I said but just in case you can go here http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=305 this will tell you more if you need help.

mother[edited for younginsXD], do you know who I am?
I have a lot more experience then your ass, and I said conduit isn't sch 80 because I have some that is grey but not the same thickness, maybe thats just my pipe.

I do know what I am talking about, I have modded countless sprinkler valves, I just refuse to help those who refuse to help themselves.

I am an expert compared to you, and a lot of people in this forum in that case. So don't give me crap saying that I don't know crap.

I concur! :P
Dobieharris, complaining about listening to a knowledgeable person who's telling you to buy safe, pressure rated materials is just plain dumbassed, especially when you're asking about buying unsafe, non-pressure rated pipe.

Hmmmm.

I don't know about you, but I would consider someone who has built several pneumatic launchers, an advanced combustion launcher, and a hybrid launcher an 'expert' in the realm of spudding. Think before you attack someone who you do not have enough knowledge about to effectively judge.

you need to learn how to fing read.when i asked about sch 80 conduit,i was only asking if that is the same stuff that others used as my sorry a__home depot only has this sch 80 pipe.i asked you for advice and you told me that they dont make sch. 80 conduit.well, they do and i now know not to use it.the fing reason i kept posting was because no one could tell me for sure how to mod my valve and what holes really need to be sealed.i was asking this because if i could mod it better then using epoxy, then that is what i would prfer.your the one that told me to shut up about it.this all came from a guy that told me sch 80 is overkill .i think that safety is never overkill.i finally got my answer, but it wasnt from you.you may have more experience then me because i dont know crap as ive never built a pneumatic before.i have built several combustions,of which my first was probably better then your last.you attacked me first,so i had to do the same.from now on,please dont respond to my topics as you are far too smart for me.futher more,i never planned on using the sch 80 conduit without getting an answer, thats why i was on here asking about it.so you guys that chimed in,better go back and read the whole conversation.i was only asking if the sch 80 conduit was what people build from ,because id never seen anything in sch 80 except this conduit and i wasnt sure that since it was sch 80 and a lot thicker then sch 40,was that what others were using.he told me they dont make sch 80 conduit and i told him they do.that led me to doubt him .he couldnt answer my valve mod question either,so that also made me believe he didnt know what he is talking about.let me ask you guys something...isnt this supposed to be a forum where we share ideas and knowledge?whats so fing hard about telling someone what you know on a subject.ive prob read this whole damn forum and countless websites, but my mod question was never answered.so,thats why i ask you guys.yall want a golden cookie for the info?what about $19.95 a month?this message is not meant to piss everyone off, just the a holes that think they know all.im glad i dont know it all, cause id be an a-hole too.

I find your lack of knowledge of the English language and writing system disturbing/

And if you read the how to on modding a valve you would know your answer.

Then again all this stems off the fact that you can't help yourself and need people to tell you what to do.
If you knew how a sprinkler valve worked, you would answer your own questions.
You lack the very essentials required in such a hobby that enables a participant to engage fully.

And like I said, I made a mistake, so there is sch 80 conduit, I didn't know.
Seeing that my 3/4"Grey conduit pipe is not the same thickness as my
Grey sch-80 3/4" pvc
It is slightly smaller.
Leading me to believe that this Grey conduit you speak of is the same conduit I am dealing with.
But we all make mistakes, thats how we progress.
I'm done arguing with you, you have no backing to your statements and lack the ability to teach yourself.
