Affordable pneumatic pump

Unread postAuthor: gotbass7 » Sun May 20, 2007 7:28 pm

I have a question, what is the cheapest way to power a pneumatic? The cheapest one I could find was $60 before shipping.

I am alright my friend got a air pressurized tank from his friend.

I have another question though, what kind of adapter do I need for a can of co2 to a valve?

target has pumps for $8 and they go to 120, at least thats what it says, ive only gone to 60 psi because pumping a 12 gallon tank to 60 psi is a work out all by its self.

i have a compressor, but i just wanted to see how far i could go before getting tierd. anyway, im getting off topic, go to target and get an $8 pump in the bike section.

OK, I found one from wal-mart that can pump up to 160 psi. That wouldn't require me to weigh 160 pounds would it?

No, the shock of letting your weight fall on it will allow you to go far above your own weight. Unless the pump has a very wide bore.
I can get to over 200 psi with a 1.2 inch pump, weighing about 135.

Hmm, that works for me. I'm planning on building a simple pneumatic for my next project, whenever that may be.

Well you'll need a regulator like the one at the top of this page.

I didnt get a lot from a google search for brass eagle adaptors... check any local paint ball stores or better yet ebay.
You will need a co2 regulator, and the valve will vary depending on what you want to build. A sprinkler valve suits most applications.
