Question about chamber size for a dart gun?

Unread postAuthor: us sniper » Thu Jul 26, 2007 1:30 am

I am building a gun with a 1/2 inch barrel and it will be used to launch darts and possibly paintballs. The gun uses an 1 inch piston valve actuated by a blow gun. Shoud I go for a 2*24 inch chamber or a 3*24 inch chamber?

i think it would be better to use a 2'' chamber, simply because it is smaller and it doesnt take much to launch a paintball.

in the end, it doesnt matter to much.

Not really, probably about 2m/s-1 increase in velocity, so nothing great.

3''sch80 is about 300 psi, maybe a little more. even though its rated that high, i wouldnt go that high unless it was steel. im sure it would be safe, thats just alot of pressure for plastic im my opinion.
