This idea could work. Note that your still need a system to shut your air supply after the chamber is filled.... Yeah, hadn't thought of that. it will need a regulator (still) %$$#@^!!! Unless the oxydizer goes in at useable pressure from a liquid source such as N2O maybe.... English analysis of Th...

Im no expert in regards to hybrids, but it sounds like a sh!t hot idea to me 8) Thanks "J", Glad you comprehend the potential for this particular "linear motor" projectile design... While a spudder such as yourself, (no condescending implied) has your life ahead to study, learn and excell at ... (I...

...Ask how it was done and i'll tell you. There was plenty of CAD work, but no CAM. You'll be surprised how achievable it is to make one yourself. Trust me. No lathes, no mills.... Have a cup 'o STFU (IMO) and sell him one...that's how it goes with the "most greatest" (such as youself) don't forget...

My Hybrid Daydreams...
So, I've been day dreaming up a Hybrid design: The fuel (propane or mapp) enters the chamber at rear, It pushes a (light weight) piston forward against fairly weak spring pressure. As the piston moves further, a small port hole (equipped with check valve) becomes exposed and the pressurized air/oxid...

Yikes! (Wow!) Dewey, nice launcher pics! Those blowers have gauges included too, MrC. and others have used that type before. BTW, in the pic, the gauge is removed, but IF it were still in place it would read chamber pressure it seems (?) The one I've been noticing has a little tiny push button on th...

When you add the metering pipe, (through a spot with two layers like a coupling) you'll get more power like others mentioned.(edit:echo) But also it will probably be faster to fuel... I recommend breech loader on the barrel for faster speed (rate of fire), And safety (safer). The accuracy will mostl...

but zombies dont exist Could've fooled me, there's one gas station I don't even got to at night!!! :P Yeah for a hybrid or pneumatic, One advantage is they can be equipped with a "captive bolt" for bayonet using pressure source. Hybrid could probably be equipped w/ flame thrower also using fuel sou...

The propane chilling the diagram is not it.I use propane with my modded sprinkler and it still works fine. Same here, I fill a large 1.5" chamber through a fitting that came with a Husky blow nozzle (brass with rubber cone, cut the rubber off, cut the smaller diameter brass threads off, drop of sup...

What was the A!DS joke??? Read three pg.s, didn't see it. The first symptom is a strong pounding sensation in one's @ss maybe? Any how, is this thread at all related to the "Most Moar power contest" coming up, or not??? :? 8) BTW, D^MN SHAME the "unbannable" "NO CRK HOS ALLWD" got banned, my new bab...

I'd rather build an electromagnetic "disc launcher" the type that typically shoots hard drive rings and quite impressively through watermelons and such...'nuff (too much) said... I'm really interested in a combustion or hybrid that isolates the chamber by use of a piston in a cylinder, then converts...

I duno, I just can't see anyone having issues while toting a cannon and a sack of potatoes. Might have the problem that they'll want to shoot them all!!! In the voting thread, the builder said a range of 85 yards max. Oh I could throw probably 3/4 that distance with a tennis ball. Still pretty impressive though. One plus for the "Cobra Striker" there. (Although power is not a consideration in this "innovative" catagory). I think it will still affect...

Try wire-nuts for the skirt part, There are sizes/types of pipe they fit snug. A short bolt can be inserted through a hole (drilled or cut tip), a few nuts threaded on front. The bolt end can be sharpened too. Field points for arrows should work for that too. If there's a HVAC co. or many junk appli...
