Slow flame means too much fuel.

Looks great thus far. Can't wait to see it in completion.

I spy packing tape. And that pop-off should be threaded through the double layer of PVC.

It also would have been neat to flip around your sprinkler valve so the tube wasn't exposed and simply went straight through the stock.

Nice for a first though. :)

Absolutely beautiful. I second the want for a video!

My only gripe (and it's a minor one), is that you used mdf board instead of solid wood for your shell. One drop of moisture will ruin your fantastic work.

Harbor freight is a good store for finding out if you like a certain type of tool or not. Buy it cheap, let it break, then go buy a higher quality version when you find that you miss it. Pistol looks good. What band is that playing in your video? (I would have gone with Burzum's "Dunkelheit" as a so...

Why are you showing that very average coax alongside your next project which is quite obviously a machined piece of envy?

This inconsistency is bothering me. All neat stuff though.

Nothing beats a good old fashioned wooden grip. And a uniform routed round-over to boot! I'm pleased. As mark said, you probably could have built more for compactness by shortening that joining pipe, but it's not a big deal considering this is your first build. The paint does look good, and I trust ...

400 and bare skin is where it starts to get interesting. 500 is just asking for trouble. 600 is what rhinoceroses use when they don't feel like getting hurt. 700 is what Chuck Norris can achieve by staring a bb into submission.

I had to?

I've had success with UHMW Polyethelyne pipe. Cable companies usually use it as underground conduit so I put on my sneaky pants and swipe a length or two when nobody is around. It is about 1/2" thick, and I've used it very successfully for a combustion chamber. The only difficulty is finding fitting...

Make sure to also take note of the wear the piston creates on the piston housing. Labtecpower brings up an extremely good point concerning the impact resistance of the housing material.

Nice build! A good pistol is always a must have for any occasion.

I had a Crosman Airmag that had a 12 shot mag and packed a healthy 350-400 depending on bb weight. I hardly even used any other gun.

I've already said to make one from wood. Any scrap will do. Glue it to size and then turn it on a lathe or drill press. you could even drill out the back side of it and fill it with foam. Wood is very cheap, and holds up to plenty of abuse if done right.

It would be just as simple to use metal pipes. These bottles have been discussed before. What you would have to do is have a ball valve connected to a tee that then connects to the bottle, as well as your fill valve. Putting a hole in the bottle would not be smart, because while it is aluminum, it i...
