I cant imagine it being very much slower, however I have a question, do you nooed a regulator on a propane meter? and if so is there a particular kind i would want like a mr. heater? You should have a regulator on a LP meter for consistency. At lower pressures I am told that a Mr. Heater regulator ...

I don't see a problem with a 1/8" tapped hole either. The propane is under pressure in the meter pipe and it will find the chamber once you open the valve.

Always held at my side. If it wanders off I just yell "HEEL" and it snaps back to my side.

Haven't built an over/under style launcher as of yet but I understand there is no compromise of power.

I have to use one of my launchers from time to time in the winter months for geese control. I keep the launcher inside where it's warm. I simply load the spud, charge the meter pipe, and wait until I step out on the deck to dump the propane into the chamber. I don't actually shoot at the geese as it...

I like the combustions merely because they are truly portable and self-contained if built correctly. Tie a 50 pound bag of spuds to your belt (better get suspenders) and go for it.

With a pneumatic you are tied to a compressor one way or another.

We found an old sideburner for a gas grill that used a 1.5 volt ignitor. We tore the electronics out of the origianl enclosure to use for a launcher project underway. This is the nice spark that it produces on a mini-spark-strip. <img src="http://www.pineridge7.com/MJE/images/ml4.jpg"> <img src="htt...

You have a style, all your own my friend. You are a awesome fabricator and welder to boot.

I don't think anyone has asked yet, how does the gun perform? Do you go for distance or accuracy? My guess would be accuracy since you have the laser.

Hope to see more of your work in the future.

Saladtosser I thought you might like to know that we clicked on your link yesterday and again today and it's a dead end. You might want to check into that. Twitch99 I suggest that you switch over to propane, as it's a gas and you don't have to worry about atomization or condensing of the product on ...

That's a real problem today. We had a fully fitted metal shop. I'm talking metal lathes, arc welders, gas welders, power saws (band-saws), spot welders, vertical mills (Bridgeport's), cutoff saws, and many more tools that I can't even begin to remember. We even had a forge where some of the guys wer...

I opt for the 12 volt brushless computer fans myself. I either use a switch to manually operate the fan or a solid state timer that I normally set to run at about 13 seconds before automatically turning off. These small on-board fans eliminate a lot of extra weight or having to carry around addition...

I don't think it wise to take anything to school related to weapons of any type including drawings. Especially these days least you might end up talking with Homeland Security.

Son-Of-A-Gun launcher project underway

I have a new launcher project underway that is called the Son-Of-A-Gun since it's a bit smaller than that of a conventional spud launcher. :D You can see the progress by following the link below. Please let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions. http://www.pineridge7.com/MJE/son-of-...
