thanks for the advice. how about the nitrous in conjunction with another fuel? and FYI "Sarcasm is the body's natural defense against stupid." mockery is the word your looking for sarcasm has many more applications. That's a specific quote from a t-shirt sold by Wal-Mart, but yes it has many more a...

Metering propane is not going to blow your cannon up. Search for a thread on syringe metering. There's more than enough info on this site to suit your needs. I would also add a chamber fan to mix the fuel well. Most accelerants you would work with wouldn't produce enough power with a normal air mix ...

That thing is scary. It would be extremely heavy but make the chamber steel and mount it on a cart. Then you could take it to much higher pressure than 3'' PVC could stand. Definitely keep us posted on this monster!

Jsefcik is right though. Anything that fits is ammo as long as it's an inanimate object. I filled pieces of PVC pipe with sand and taped the ends shut and shot those. They "exploded" on impact sending sand everywhere. It's a pretty cool effect. Creativity is key here.

Are you sure about that man, on the website I bought the QEV it said 0,3-8bar... That is the operating pressure. Companies intentionally leave a very large margin of error for safety. People have used these up to pretty high pressures before. If you aren't sure, test it from a safe distance. If you...

Especially if you have to select and fetch a switch for your own ass whip'n. :!:
I just turned 18 and even I grew up like that. Picking the switch was worse than the actual whipping. :shaking:

It looks like an older starter motor for a fairly large engine. Not exactly the best thing to make a lathe from. I wouldn't dare use it.

Do you go on e bay? I just got two 1 1/2 inch pulse valves for 30 dollars shipped. I have never seen a qev bigger than 3/4 of an inch. After that size they are called diaphragm valves. A diaphragm valve is not the same as a piston valve. Apples and oranges cannot be compared. They are similar in pr...

Nice collection you got going there. Thanks for showing us. Not pointless in my opinion. Nothing wrong with showing of your spudguns in a spudgun forum.... Not quite what I meant. It would be more suited as a new thread if there were some details about each individual cannon. A new thread with no d...

No individual pictures or details about each one? It's kind of a pointless thread otherwise, no offense.

I'm amazed at how dense so many people are. This pales in comparison to some of the ridiculous behavior I have run across. Idiocracy is seeming more and more realistic as each day passes. :?

I say pilot it with a 3/4 inch qev... Seeing as the fittings used to connect the two sprinkler valves are the limiting factor, a 3/4'' QEV would actually be the most efficient choice all the way around. It's not as expensive and will pilot this particular valve as effectively as the sprinkler valve...
