Re: Home made air tank(help)
I would be vary apprehensive of using a tank like this at any pressure anywhere near a person while pressurized. Flat ends are generally a no go, each time it is pressurized the metal flexes which fatigues the weld, so after numerous fillings it may let go with no warning at all, even at 100psi the...

Re: SA/FA Pnushnikov/Caselman-build log.
This is simply amazing. But judging by your videos you lack a consistent rate of fire? Maybe you need a spring plate to stop the bolt from travelling too far and make it hit the plate each time for better spring consistency. I'd like to see a cut-away diagram. I never understood how caselman got thi...

HA X240 Prototype BB Gun
Greetings, I've been using this forum for atleast a year now having a look at everyone's problems and solutions and have found it to be quite handy. So in this presentation I'll be giving back a little of my own knowledge  Keep in mind this is an ugly prototype (as seen by the glue and poor wo...

Re: Home made air tank(help)
I have a prototype galvanised HPA tank that holds up to 100 PSI (safely). What you need to understand is the effects of pressure on it's cylinders - Thin walls and large volumes don't mix... Thick walls and small volume permits higher pressure. Welding is also a no-go for me. Go to bunnings, buy THI...

Choosing Ammo / it's intention / my experience
Hey guys Having been around a few air gunners and forums the first of many questions asked is usually ammo, what type and how big. For this all you really need to do is THINK about what you want it to do and what it's needed for. ~ ~ Work out the desired terminal ballistics of your project (effect o...

Re: 6MM ID Tube in Australia?? HELP
Hey mate. i'm in Victoria and I found the perfect barrels, they come from a little place called Carbon Fibre Australia in Warragul. They barrels are 1 metre long and about $27 AuD. Having bought one myself, they're very straight and very reliable in that carbon fibre does not rust. However! - when c...

Re: Would this be a good design?
The problem is you haven't made many air guns as you say.
Play around with your creativity to achieve what you want to achieve. I stay away from QEV's as they dump high pressure air into the open, when I could be using that air elsewhere.
