I guess I just kind of got burnt out there for a while. I've been getting back into spudding here lately and I thought I would stop by and see how every one here was doing.

If you are having problems with the air escaping though the blow gun you need to reduce the size of the hole in the diaphragm.

Try taking the old control rod and bending it into a "U" shape thought the hole in the diaphragm.

The simple fact that polycarbonate tubing is NOT pressure rated should be enough to prove that you shouldn't use it in pressure applications.

I still wouldn't sleeve with non-pressure rated pipe... If you do then you will be throwing away the safety margin on your cannon.

I charged up the capasitor and touched the posative and negative to this metal ruler.
You "touched" the ruler... that means you didn't get an open-air spark.

What are you going to do stick you hand in the chamber and touch the wires together to fire your cannon?

I would just get a male and female NPT x Spigot fittings, much safer.

Think of it this way:

Your combustion = ~42psi

Basic pneumatic = ~100psi

Also are you seriously using NOS?

Using steel wool to ignite something isn't a new idea! Have you ever seen a flash pot?

I never said that he had to use a BBQ igniter... I hate BBQ igniters!

I'm open to new ideas, just not bad new ideas.

The point I was trying to make is that there is no good reason to use steel wool.
