The button doesn't really seal the hole, the white rounded part does, I grease it, and it gets pushed up snug against the barrel from when the magazine gets pushed up and locked into place. It's a snug fit, but not so snug that it's hard to pull and push the bolt back and forth. It's good enough not...

Yes, damage pics soon to come when it stops raining. Also, I was thinking this was a good project to do to inspire myself and others to make more snipers with the same level and/or more detail, but with more power for other long-distance/accurate projectiles, maybe if I can find some cheap way of ma...

I like the solid colors better though, it was based off of the sniper rifle in halo 1, and adapted a few features from the halo 3 sniper rifle too. And I mulled around with different valve ideas but it was pretty much between this and a QEV and I had trouble finding a proper QEV so I went with a spr...

Davidvaini: I'm not sure if you thought that i have just a regular airsoft magazine, but anyways, I made that magazine from scratch out of 1/4" sheet pvc to work with my loading mechanism. Also, this gun was originally designed to take CO2 from a tire inflator at the rear of the gun and the fill lev...

One Gorgeous Sniper

I think you guys are gonna like this. This is a bolt-action pneumatic propane powered airsoft sniper I've been working on for a while. It features an adjustable hop-up device, mad bull airsoft barrel, modded sprinkler valve, pressure regulator, spring-fed 14 rd. capacity magazine that snaps into pla...

or just go to the hardware store and find little rubber rings that, once strectched over the outside of the airsoft barrel, have an OD just slightly bigger than the pvc and slide it in with hairspray, the hairspray will dry, and the barrel will be set perfectly. It's kind of like sleeving bicycle gr...

Not sure how much time you're willing to put into an actual working airsoft magazine, but I just made one that is very reliable and works everytime with a bolt action putting each bb into the breech. Here's a pic, sorry if it's hard to understand how it works- and disregard the pvc pipe in the backg...

I know this is an old topic but I was curious as to the fittings you used to hook up the propane torch valve to the chamber of the cannon, I am making this same setup but found myself stuck when I found out that the threads coming out of the valve are not 1/8" NPT, so how did you do it? Solder anyth...

The air piloted piston can never be as good as a sear released one, simple as that. Thank you, that's the answer I was looking for. And I agree, in theory, that there's no reason (except if you use too hard of a return spring) that my sear released valve wouldn't open faster than any air piloted pi...

You asked for opinions, so you'll get one. :) I'll use my copper gun as the example. Keep in mind, my chambers are small compared to what most people use. My B:C is ~0.8 to 1... ...The amount of air being wasted is ~3.7% of the total. In my opinion, it's not enough to be of consequence. In the case...

Most definitely, we've all seen what a difference pilot valves make and this is the best possible one, so the performance benefits will certainly be noticed. So what are you saying? Which is the best possible one? Traditional air piloted piston? or piston being released with a sear like mine? Sorry...

I'm curious about performance on my valve though. I'd like to see what more people think about this design in comparison to the performance of an air piloted piston valve. One big thing I like about this sear triggered valve is that it is efficient on air and does not waste air for a pilot volume. I...

Most Efficient Piston Valve?

 THEORY: I thought of this design for a piston valve, then searched around to see if anyone has done something quite like this and I didn't find anything, but maybe someone's already thought of this? Anyways, I was thinking, in theory, that this design of valve would open faster than a pilot v...
