In a word, no. The gasses resulting from combustion will cool down and the pressure will be lost. edit: there is a way you could use a combustion reaction to compress air, in the manner of the sims-dudley dynamite gun which used a black powder charge to drive a piston down a tube to drive air past a...

I think it's pointless, mostly because you're rewarding the quantity of posts, not the quality. If you're a decent member who makes a relevant contribution, you'll get respected for that. If not, you'll get flamed and ultimately ignored. You don't need a spurious bank account in an irrelevant curren...

Well, you definitely need a weapon that can fire more than one shot, and that can be electronically actuated. Personally I would suggest a cloud BBMG with a solenoid valve instead of the more commonly used blowgun and a laser for sighting... unless you want to go really high tech and get a small CCT...

You can buy one of these tanks really cheaply and use the electrics for your project, it would save you a lot of work and buying expensive servos and receivers etc.

I doubt they will open quicker than you can flip a ball valve open with your hand, so not much good for single shot applications.
You could however find a way to use it in a manner similar tothis concept.

There's nothing in the geneva convention about shooting personnel with 0.50 calibre rifles, indeed all the major powers (and quite a few smaller ones) have such rifles in their arsenals - although to be fair, they're usually classed as "anti-material" rifles made for shooting equipment at ranges whe...

Air rifles are fun, but when you approach 100 ft/lbs, a rimfire is a much better idea - it's more compact and lighter than an air rifle, doesn't require cumbersome and expensive filling equipment - all you need is a pocketful of cartridges - and with a decent silencer it can be even quieter than an ...

So you would have to get the amount of time that the hammer activates it to match with the amount of air released and the length of the barrel and weight of the projectile? That sounds complicated, I will stick with simple things, like Supah valves. This is how variable power air rifles like...

How does the hammer trigger the valve? Is it like a burst disk broken by a spike or something? Imagine a blowgun valve - instead of pressing on it with your finger, it's struck by a spring loaded hammer, in the same way the hammer on a firearm strikes the firing pin. Once the momentum of the hammer...

There was an old design that housed the pump in the stock with the gun pumped vertically up and down. The air chamber encircled the barrel and a hammer valve was struck by a hammer . It would hardly be a hammer valve if it was struck by something else eh  http://www.beemans.net/images/BabyBat...
