Just make a plastic nose-cone from another bottle or a plastic/paper cup. Attach the parachute to the bottle and pack loosely into the nose cone. Then when the rocket reaches the apogee the nose cone should fall off and the parachute should deploy if packed correctly. Add a little weight to the tip ...

Sounds like an interesting idea as long as the seal around the barrel is sufficient so that it doesn't lose air when it starts to move back before it get to the hole in the barrel. I might also be somewhat inaccurate because the barrel moves.

Those are both good designs, and using a brass compression T is a good idea, very compact and helps to use off the shelf parts. Have you ever made a prototype of the design on the right? I'm curious to how well the return magnet idea works. It sounds like an interesting concept and I happen to have ...

Yeah I think that might be the only difficult part, it might take some trial and error and fine tuning but once i get the right spring tension it should work perfectly.

I don't think my design is that hard, I already have most of the parts, just have to make the rubber plugs.

Yep pretty much, but as it says in my first post the yellow lines represent 2 threaded rods.

Semi-Auto BB gun

Here are the drawings for my new Semi-Auto BB gun prototype: http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4283/semibbprotops5.th.jpg The yellow lines are threaded rods to attach the two rubber stoppers shown with blue fill lines. Green is a spring and red is a aluminum tubing. Air source comes in from the rig...

I don't see why this wouldn't work. I have run a sprinkler solenoid off of a 12v DC gel cell for my rocket base, no problems at all. Are you sure you have your 9v batteries wired correctly?

The reason there are no primmer marks is because he didn't glue it yet.
I also need to glue all of the parts together.

Maybe use one of those 3-way toggle switches. (press the top to fire the first one, then it will go back to neutral, and then press the bottom of the switch to fire the second). That would be very simple to wire and still have a good effect.
