Where did you find that slide valve? I can't find them in stores.
I say drill ,ore small holes; opening time is more important.

Al-xg, were you using it with co2?

They also eject a lot of high pressure Co2 from the bolt ( I am trying to best the tipmann 98 ) The design I am using does waste some pilot air, but it is used to power to mag, like the a5. Commercial markers are limited to low-flow designs, with high pressure co2 to counter. Higher pressure = more ...

Co2 efficiency "reverse engineering"

I am trying to determine what size and pressure to run the chamber of my in-the-works paintball gun at in order to achieve a higher efficiency than a regular paintball marker. To do this, I need to know how much co2 is used in a regular marker per shot. Co2 runs at about 850 psi at room temp, and a ...

Just an observation...sched 80 3/4" has a fairly mondo pressure rating of 690 psi. Were you looking for the pressure capacity of sched 120 or going use the unique ID in some way? Both. But mainly for the ID, which is .69". Good paintballs have a diameter of .689". The closer the fit, the ...

Well, the gun is going to be as "bullpup" as I can make it, meaning the barrel starts at the stock. I was thinking of making it about 3-4 feet long, but only 2' would protrude from the gun, unsupported. Also, I was planning on partially sleeving the barrel (OD of 1.05") in 1" sch 40 pvc (ID 1.033") ...

Really? Wouldn't a thicker pipe be stiffer? I am sure thqt the extrq thickness would support the extrq weight.

Yesterday I called pipeline plastics , and asked them about the sch 120 pvc. They said they had none in stock but they could order some! In 2-3 weeks I will be down with some sch 120 3/4 pvc, .69" caliber, PERFECT for paintball. :D It was kinda expensive, at $ 1.49 per foot. If anyone wants sch 120 ...

Yes, it is for the barrel of a paintball gun. I know CPVC works ok, and 1/2 sdr 21 works better, but 3/4 sch120 has the exact ID I need. I am going for accuracy and efficiency, and an exact ID will do that. Plus, the OD makes is able to sleeve into 1" sch 40 pvc, a must for a bolt. The pressure rati...

Buying Sch 120 PVC *Success!*

Where is the best place that I could get 3/4" sch 120 PVC, but NOT ONLINE? I don't have credit cards, ect., only hard cash. I do have a place called "pipeline plastics" nearby; it has a huge stockpile of PVC, but on their website they only list sch 40 and 80. I also have the local Home Depot, Lowes,...

Holy Fricken AWESOME! I just did a search too, and it turns out that fastenal is only 2 miles away!

I won't kiss you, but this just made my project a lot more do-able (covertly) 8).

Is the place similar to a home depot, where a teen can walk around and shop, and pay in cash?

I'm all for the competition, but make sure that there is no entry fee.

I have the time, money, and plans to build my paintball semi, but I still don't have permission. My new job gives me access to lathes, drill presses, Everything! Perhaps a covert gun is possible.

It seems to me that it is the same as JSR's failed auto blow-forward bolt, except it is not inline. You may have problems with it cycling.

However, that just gave me an idea for a blow forward bolt that uses chamber pressure to open, but closes when the chamber is fired.

D@mb... that is exactly what I would have guessed, but I did not want to say it for fear of over-guessing. This is AWESOME!
