Best design for a valve and Electronic Trigger.

I need to have an inline valve that can handle up to 500 psi and a low volume of air.

I need to be able to trigger it by a 12v-24v DC solenoid.

Sometime of spool valve? Piston valve?

I have CNC capability.

Any Ideas.?

Re: my new and first pneumatic rifle

So you want a - High powered pneumatic rifle that gets lots of shots - But is portable, without high pressure tanks or compressors. These goals are somewhat contradictory. There are compromises, but you can't have both. If you want power and lots of shots, that takes lots of stored pneumatic energy...

I finished the one pictured. The problem with it was, well it was cool it just didnt turn out as well as i liked. I welded the barrels. which was a problem because it warped the rack so they wobbled a bit. and it shot WAY to much paint. I am building 3-4 much smaller ones which will be based on a si...

Its not finished yet. I fired about 50-60 shots through it this summer, but the electronics were done all analog with 555 timers and they were finicky. I have scrapped them and went to a full Microprocessor and wrote the whole thing in C. For the bolt it uses a 5/8ths Ram controled by a 4 way soleno...

Does anyone have a reccomendation of a lube that will help seal o-rings to the inside walls of PVC, but not break down either compound? I've actually heard waterbased works the best lol The Dow 33 lube that comes with paintball guns is what i use, it works well. thats a negative on the diagram. Sad...

Well my source is a 3k-4500 psi scuba. I have a LP reservoir that is 18" of 4" pipe that i run at 125 PSI. I have moded one of the 1.5" pulse valves with a QEV, regulator and solenoid so it works as a 1.5" Pulse Regulator, So i can fill my primary chamber in under 75ms. The Efficiency is Horrible. b...

Mine shoots 4 shots a second. and thats only due to the feed mech. The new breach design. should be able to do 6. But after 6 shots i start to get shoot down unless i build a piston capable of 250 psi. Currently i use 2x 1.5" pulse valves 2 QEVs and 5 regulators. to accomplish this. Let me tell you....

Should you have a long or short Combustion chamber?

Answer: it depends.

you have a vast ammount more research to do prior to building your cannon.

Not to mention since its a combustion chamber your posting in the wrong forum.

No what i am saying has nothing to do with Feeding. Think of looking at the paintball gun from the top down: The barrel is parrellel to the Y axis. It rotates on the Z axis. Lets say you would like to fire a ball every 66.66 ms for a rate of fire at a paltry 15 balls per second. you will need to mak...

well let me see if i can explain... You have a ball going in a -----> manner Now you are rotating stuff in a ^ manner Depending on how high your RPMS are this could be a VERY high ammount of force. and if you are doing like 150 RPM if you are shooting through just a paintball barrel the ball is goin...

Rotational issue with paintballs. I worked up some math this past month for shooting down the barrels of rotating tubes. ITs just not feasible. If you Are shooting down a 1.5" barrel so the ball doesnt clip the side and break. The fastest you can make it shoot is 20 balls per second. Granted this as...
