About pvc showing up on xray i think it would. I read an article about people who would dig up graves and replace with pvc. They sold the body parts to other people. There was an xray of one person, yo cold clearly make out the tube and end caps.

for some reason, with no tube, when contact is made where you trigger flash, i get a spark from ground to trigger wire. This is supposed to happen, but its dumping the whole main cap int scondary transformer. This gets a hot spark.


Try to make it dump whole cap into secondary transformer.

nice idea, for the ignition, i would try rocket motor igniters, that way there is no high voltage.

I did 3 shots, and i dont plan to do any more, but i just couldn't resist 8) .

Also i put a plug to seal the end, and a bushing for the other side, so most of the chamber is twice as thick, except the middle.

i did ignite, and it was powerfull. I did remote ignition, with a potato the recoil was semi big. The proportions were all wrong, so i wasn't that afraid. I dont do that much, only when im bored.

actually, i filled the whole thing with propane, then pumped to 40 PSI with air. Powerfull =)

Anyone thought of induction heating to heat up the air? A ceramic chamber, the induction coil, the some metal around it. In the chamber would be a suspended metal block, that would heat up the air, or make steam. On youtube, theres a video of someone melting steel in one.

When i did mine, i got 3 250v 100uf caps in parrallel, it charged in ~ 10 sec. It all depend on your projectile, and the type of wire, it is best to expierement.
