Re: Airgun design program FOR YOU! Coming soon

Program is 90% finished. Polishing items and such. Would love to have it finished by Sunday! Watch this thread. I'll be posting a video sample in the coming days!

Re: Airgun design program FOR YOU! Coming soon

Just an update on progress. Here is some hardware. Need as many suggestions as possible before I write the first copy so I can include it.

Re: Airgun design program FOR YOU! Coming soon

Sounds like a good idea but it would be useful if you incorporated some real world items and scaled them appropriately, for example some common sprinkler valves, blowguns, ball valves and commercial QEVs, different sizes of paintball bottles (13 cu, 48 cu, 12 oz CO2 etc.) The Soda bottle here for e...

Re: .177 BB/pellet

:D 10m with a barrel that long might not give you a great sighted range. If that were me I'd be setting that target back 15m minimum

Re: Airgun design program FOR YOU! Coming soon

Would be an honour. Polishing textures and objects currently. Just trying to make sure I include as much content as I can. Not a fan of going back and adding tonnes of things I forgot. I hate half-jobs.

Re: .177 BB/pellet

Looks great! good job! Can I ask however, why such a lomg barrel? Isn’t there a point in which the length becomes too much and the projectile begins to labor? espespecially smoothbore. Never seen this approach. But that’s the beauty of DIY. It’s what we make of it. How is the accuracy, range and spe...

I like it. Cross-sectional stuff is very important regarding the feasibility of a design. So that’s something i’ll definately be adding. As far as completion. the program is about 40% done. When it’s finished I’d love to have it on the sites archive or somewhere equally accessible.

Air Gun Builder coming soon...

Hey yall. Thinking of a way to give back to the community whilst I work on my new air gun. We all love MS paint and hand sketches to help conceptualise what we're trying to make. But I thought I'd use my skillz to write up a program that allows you to formulate a project in real time. I cannot tell ...

Re: Falling pressure regulator function?

Of course! I mean, I figured as much, in my experience with home-built shrader valves that as the pressure dropped so did the resistance. I guess it comes down to the design of the pin/hammer valve for this to work. Granted the energy behind the striker is the same every pull of the trigger, then wh...

Falling pressure regulator function?

In high-end PCP's, I've noticed that, as the pressure drops, these airguns begin to dump more volume so to "cover" the drop-off. IE Instead of the shot pressures dramatically falling like so... (Psi) 180 176 165 143 110 60 They fall more linearly until they weapon simply doesn't function 180 176 171...

Controlling ROF in a BB SMG without a hammer/bolt (v2)

Hey guys, back again, and before you know it I'm saving for a wedding ring. Honestly I feel like it was only a few months ago I signed up and started checking this site out often. I'm back to present an idea and possible beacon of hope for my BBMG comrades. Basically, the simple solution to this age...

Your favourite Calibre and Material, and why?

As the topic says, what’s everyone favourite projectile diameter, projectile material and Projectile Shape for your (Full Semi single) shot airguns, and why? Curios to see what we can “bounce” off eachother. Me Round: 6mm Full Aluminiun, Pointed Tip Pellets Reason: Speed to target and reasonable pen...

Suppressors for uncapped (unlimited rof) BBMG’s?

For those of us who like making cloud/vortex bbmg’s with huge internal magazines, how many of you have had genuine success dampening the sound of your creations? How did you build your suppressors? Back in 2010 when I was getting into BBMG’s, I struggled to hush my BBMG (A 6mm plastic spitter that w...
