you need National Pipe Thread or NPT yes, but they wont have that in metric.

its a joke, theres no such thing as a left handed pipe wrench since the pipe wrench can be used either way, same with the ball valve

Hah, thats one of joel's rifled clear PVC barrels on that, plus, its got NSF-DWV fittings. otherwise, nice cannon, I like the diamond plate on it.

pretty much any metal lathe will do the job, i've got a big old shepard lathe from 1912 and it still runs fine, if you're planning to get one of those mini import lathes, i urge you to take a look on ebay for some used bench type south bend lathes, they can usually be had for about the same price us...
