How do you plan to heat treat it, what kind of forge, I guess your doing a concave grind for the blade. Full tang I assume? Do you plan to use it or just use it as a show piece.

but without pulleys either, the kit zeus posted is looking good, heres what it includes

The 159 does not include some key parts, and none include a tailstock. Would it be easy to manufactor one.

Apparently its decent, but my first choice would be a sherline, Id go up to 250-300 for a sed version but I havent seen an for that

Problem is that lathe has some what poor reviews, but I still trust it more than a harbor freight lathe.

Not really for spudding besides a few pistons for QEVs, I may get a craftsman, Ive always had luck with that brand. Comes with tools, and a 1 year warrenty for 180.

Gunfreak-the one I linked to is constantly on sale for 100, and has more than one star. I may see about getting a used JET lathe or a used nicer brand.
