two questions about dry ice and propane

Unread postAuthor: pyromanic13 » Thu Dec 01, 2005 12:28 am

first off do you think it would work to make a small simple galvanized pipe with ball valve shooter that runs of of dry ice

and secondly do you think it would work to make propane ballons and load them into the chamber as sorta lke a clip?

The first one is a concept I'v been thingking about. 2" galv is rated to 800 psi if I remember right, so it'd be fine running with CO2... I was planning on using a burst disk at about 500 PSI - it allows me to get the same energy as my large launcher in a small hand-held device.
Either that, or liquid N2.

The second has been discussed before, but probably wouldn't be faster than acctualy using the propane meter before.
