Big holes, and bowling balls are very fragile when used out of the context of bowling.

Not really... I have thrown them onto concrete slabs from 10 feet up with only small dents and scratches on the balls. They are sometimes launched our of black powder cannons see here

Oh and they make sweet whistling sounds when launched due to the finger holes.

Before i read the fine print i assumed you were talking in regards to the size of the balls attached to the bull

Edit: Why don't those pumpin chucker use something to solidify the pumpkin?

Haha actually no, but it could apply both ways, though I don't see bull's balls being expensive

The pumpkin cannot be destroyed, cut down , wadded, saboted, or modified in any way. This, in combination with the fact that no gases other than air are allowed to be used as propellants, essentially constitutes a complete, and very comprehensive ban on any creativity at the large competitions.

No, they all break when they hit the ground. Its in the loading process that you can't do anything to the pumpkin.

They typically measure to the first of the debris, since the thing hits the ground and explodes. I think a team tried to get one of their cannons to shoot into water or something once to try and save the pumpkin and it didn't work. Another group shot their pumpkins into a box of mattresses and ended up with pumpkin everywhere instead.

Trying to figure out how to make a SCUBA first stage regulator work for portable charging station. If only that pesky job thing didn't keep eating up all my time...
