pump action shotgun design

Unread postAuthor: pat123 » Thu May 22, 2008 2:10 pm

I am thinking about building an airsoft shotgun. I made a design in paint.

as the piece of wood is pulled back(don't know what it is called) the rod attached to the end pushes the ball valve open. the rod on the other end pushes the ammo forward into the barrel. do you think this will work?

Well for starters I don't see that ball valve opening 100% with the rod.

Your projectiles are too long, they can't navigate the 45 degree bend and still fit through a ball valve.

You're going to see a lot of jaming in this design.

As MrCrowley said: this is not going to work with such projectiles.

But I think that spherical ammo might work. Only make sure it doesnt fall back into the closed ball valve.
