I don't see any issue with that particular fitting being DWV. Just make sure it doesn't take take any torque during firing. If your barrel is supported, fine. If it hangs free, I would use the DWV fitting.

BTW, Lowe's carries NSF-PW 2" fittings at all their stores.

Actually cheese and lead foil would be safe because they wouldn't explode into harmful shrapnel. But you would only get one shot per cannon. :lol:
