Different Types Of O-Ring Seals

Unread postAuthor: MrCrowley » Tue Jan 20, 2009 5:51 pm

I found this website awhile a go when looking for a diagram of floating o-ring seals. It shows some good diagrams and explanations of what's going on with many different types of o-ring seals.

Dynamic Seals

Static Seals

No fapping! :P

Nice find. Here's a similar guide I've found helpful: http://www.applerubber.com/sdg/guide2/index.cfm

I think you should make the grooves deeper so that the o-ring is less stretched out and has a lower OD.
You could also try to lubricate it.
As I said: "Save your KY for your o-ringed pistons!"

KY jelly or something like that works fine.
