Air line lubricator for fueling

Unread postAuthor: daccel » Wed Jun 03, 2009 9:28 am

I was browsing the air compressor isle when I realized that an air line lubricator might have potential as a fueling system.

Not sure exactly how they worked, I found this diagram. Seeing as it's adjustable, it looks like you could fine tune the ratio.

Worth trying for liquid fuels?

Probably not worth trying. Some have poly bowls that are incompatible with many fuels. They are also low volume so they would be too lean most of the time. With modification it may work, but they rely on high volume air flow to draw oil. At low volume for a chamber, they may still be trying to prime the draw tube for a good portion of your fill, so the mix will be unstable at best.

Could work for things like alcohol.
Great thing is that it atomizes the liquid.

It will be hard to get on the right ratio though.
