Except that water cannons don't force them to stop/disengage
yeah but they are not illegal and most likely they are already in place

Apparently even marine biologists have gotten into the act :D

Looks like an electrically actuated sprinkler valve, flow restrictions, dead space galore... uoi'd expect more from academics, dolphin huggers or not.

Still, spudguns and birthday yoga, I chose the wrong career

See I think you all are wrong, this is a perfectly adequate cannon. If any of you own a boat, nets are sucked up super easily and can ruin your whole lower unit. I see some potential in this. All it needs to be perfect is motion activation and a somesort of autoloader(like a hopper)

no... this is not a good cannon. massive flow restrictinos, electric actuation, not a well constructed cannon

VERY bad cannon. Huge dead space.
I think this is a sort of spare parts cannon. Just for fun.

And, I think you can have a lot of fun with it.

And, if I want to impress pirates, I would build a high mix hybrid Flak 88 with cartridges

I think he's referring to the cannon in the original post, after we pooh-poohed the idea of firing nets to ensare the propulsion system versus destroying the actual superstructure ;)
