Expected Ballistic Distance Calculator - Links???

Unread postAuthor: 357Wood » Tue May 16, 2006 1:36 pm

Anyone have a link to predict the distance a golf ball will travel from an SDR-21 sleeved barrel. I have a ballistic chronometer, so I can measure the velocity of the ball as it leaves the barrel (max 285 fps so far, hoping for a lot higher.

I haven't found anything that produces results that can use a mass as high as a golf ball, and is otherwise not set up just for bullets.

Although not an elegant solution, you could build a "dummy gun" in the GGDT that produced the same velocity as your test, and then use the GGDT's built-in ballistics simulator.
