He lives in Australia, so postage would be a PITA.

Like I mentioned earlier, look in stores that carry parts for agricultural stuff, irrigation etc. Either that, or check a specialty plumbing place that sells PVC.

Sch 10 nominal 1.5" pipe. It's made in either stainless or aluminum. Great stuff!

Most plumbing supply stores carry it, ask at your local hardware store if they know of any suppliers

I've done this as well, and it does work fairly well. However, you do lose the drag coefficient reduction and subsequently the aerodynamic properties provided by the dimples on a regulation golf ball.

2 perpendicular hacksaw cuts around the circumference of the ball will allow you to remove the shell, and the core will fit fairly well in the very common SCH40 1.5" nominal pipe.

If you can't find SDR 21 then use SDR 26, that is what I use, and although it isn't as good a fit, it still works good.

Did no one read the third post? He lives in Aussie, so no point recommending American pipe (although on occasion it has be known to be found in Aus/NZ). You need to look for 40mm PVC PN12 (or similar).
The inside diameter will vary depending on the pressure rating (PN12, PN15, PN18 etc) and the company who makes it.

Go to a store like Reece's, bring a golfball and try out the pipe.
