How so? Mine work just fine...

will these have enough air flow to be a efficiant? if not what would be better to use?

You should get some pretty decent power especially at high pressure.

The slide valve should have 3 o-ring to keep it seal while "sliding" it, but there are only 2, in high pressure uses, very big air loose :|

its my understanding that the qev uses 1/4 pipe threads. will that restricts flow too much?

I got a rifled 14" paintball barrel today. I'm pretty sure that general consensus says that it will not help spherical projectiles (especially those filled with paint), but if I made some bullets for it with a thin layer of tape to catch the grooves, could it stabilize them?

Hmmm... to be honest I've only tried it to 150 psi or so, so I can't comment about high pressures. I will try and compare construction to the 3000 psi rated slide valves I also have.

Rifling will stabilise a spherical projectile, indeed rifling came about long before cylindrical projectiles. The problem with paintballs is that they are also soft and have a liquid core.

:D

What's the twist rate on the barrel, and what do you intend to fire out of it at what speed?

Here's a useful calculator: http://kwk.us/twist.html

The "barrel" outlet on mine is 3/8" BSP.

Hey guys, I need a 2d 1:1 model of this, the dimensions of it, for a machine shop. Can someone possibly convert the solidworks file to cad, and do a 2d version of it please? Thanks.

id like to know if say I buy a 15x8mm reducer, does the pipe (8mm) fit inside the reducer or does it connect via a straight coupler?

Well I mainly use rubber .68 cal balls with a bit of paper around them to catch the grooves, but I want to omit the paper so I can feed semi automatically. I don't know how fast they're going, but it's got a 6" long 1/2" chamber, a 1/2" QEV, and at least 500 psi behind it

Attached. But any respecting machine shop could take the ... -DRAW.slddrw files and view them.

Do you think 1'' brass fittings will be safe for a 10x piston hybrid? they made me throw out a box 25 odd kilo of 1'' brass fittings at work so naturally I threw it into my car. It's full of Tees, Nipples and Reducers.

I would have no problem trusting them.

there are some specialty products like this on the market that allows you to solder/braze aluminum.. I think these products are tin based..

Thinking of building a quick cannon this afternoon, 32mm diameter x 1m barrel, 32mm hand operated ball valve between that and the chamber, which will be 50mm x 500mm @ 40-50 psi normally, 100 psi max, and a schrader fill valve. Can I expect it to launch a spud or would that setup not work at all?
