Oooooh, that is nice... I'm more of steak man myself, I can count the amount of times I've cooked ribs on two hands, looks like a skill I'm going to have to develop here :D

Poutine IS something Quebec does DAMN well though. :)

Well... it is their traditional dish after all, one would be surprised if they didn't!

I don't envy you ;)

On another note, fans of Breaking Bad might remember this scene:

Well, turns out Walt Jr. was at my apartment building yesterday... and some arse'ole nicked his parking space!

Those look like gas station ribs, lol.

It's also funny to note that the region me and gunfreak live in has gas stations that sell ribs.

Where I'm from we're not rib people either, but I could cook you some gumbo. :P

Glad to see you're settling in, and the season finale of Breaking Bad was awesome.

Wouldn't be the first time someone tried that  :D

Last week, police in Mexicali found a cannon made from a large tube in the back of an abandoned Dodge Ram pickup truck, said spokesman Edgar Lopez.

Whooops... lol

Those look like gas station ribs, lol.

Yeah yeah, they taste great OK! Washed down with 32 oz of Murphys especially :D

In any case, I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS!

Just had a talk with a representative from a large pneumatic nailer company...
They had a problem they couldn't solve...

I shared my thoughts explaining what they were not doing right and offered 5 possible solutions in a matter of seconds..

He looked at me quite seriously and asked me if I could go to their R&D department in Cincinatti..(?!?!?) as they might be interested in what I had to share...

I said.."sure thing!"

And I gave him my e-mail...

Now it's just a matter of how much they really are interested and if this dream would really come true...probably not...but still...nice experience..

The keyword is "might" as it all depends on wether or not they are really interested in my idea's.

I'd laugh my B-hind off if I'd get the actual invite though...even for like.. a week..

Smoozing it is a wonderful talent that can pay off handsomely. Hope they give you a call. I got recruited right out of the Canadian Airforce for a company that repairs FLIR Safire I, II and IIIs, Ultra 7500 - 8500 FLIRs

At work.
We sell powertools...locks...everything a contracter would need- excluding the materials like bricks, wood etc.

Already customers and co-workers alike turn to me for custom work on locks, pneumatic equipment etc.

They've come to expect I make the impossible possible.
Mostly what I do is not a big deal but if it cures a customers headache I'm happy.

Flip it around, adjust, invert, simplify, invent, or if all else fails..I come up with an alternative.
I just wish I'd get the chance to focus on those type of tasks entirely.
Some weeks I get a couple of these requests...some weeks none at all.

It's only a small percentage of what I get to do but I enjoy every opportunity to jumpstart those old "out of box" synapses...

Usually when someone comes along with an unusual problem, I get involved...turn silent for a minute as I mentally run through all the stuff and possibilities we have, looking for a way to fix the issue.

I did the same thing with the nailer issue..
If he doesn't contact me..I'll give him a call.
I need to know where they are at and what they've tried already to get a better view on what route to travel..

Although remotely relevant..I better stop hijacking now...
