Why don't you just buy sch40/80 it would be more of a hassle to cut the pipe carefully and skillfully into the pipe.

Or build a "box"over it out of plywood or mdf.
Or just a sideplate and one on top.It would keep you out of harms way...

If you read my post carefully, I'm not saying to use ONLY duct tape. I'm saying to roll the gun in metal wires, and then wrap it in Duct Tape. To hold it and for extra confort.

We've been over this before... Trying to reinforce pipe is a bad idea. If you think your cannon is going to explode, either use less pressure or buy better pipe.

Using any thing will not help, It will just cause more pressure. When PVC explodes IT EXPLODES.

OK, so there's 3 things.
1. Use good pipe that you trust.
2. Sleeve it in ABS, which won't shatter.
3. Put it a strong metal box.

End of dicussion.
