Combustion Meter

Unread postAuthor: CS » Tue May 31, 2005 9:44 am

Im 99% sure that some one has attempted this or made one. I just wanted to make one of these so i could measure the pressure (force) of the explosion. But since it is so quick i thought you could use a flow vavle so all the pressure wouldnt leave and the meter would stay up. Then you would have a ball vavle to replace the pressure. Heres a picture to explain it.
Blue= Pressure Meter
Green= Brass Tee
Pink= Flow Valve
Red= Ball Vavle
If it would work i could just hook it up to a end cap then hook it up to my freinds cannons to see how powerful they gun is.

yeah, most people use them on their hybrids to record max pressure, and the flow valve is called a check valve, you'd want a spring check valve, not a swing one taht is used for water
