A high C:B ratio will waste power but produce noise, a low C:B ratio will not have enough power and will be quieter. A perfect C:B ratio will have a nice sound and waste minimal power.....no one can really agree on the perfect C;B ratio though.

The most efficient C:B ratio for a pneumatic gun is around .2:1, whereas 1:1 is where you hit the point of diminishing returns in terms of power. A huge chamber will waste alot of energy as noise. My 1.5:1 paintball gun is quite loud.

*Smacks head on wall*

Oops, I didnt notice that. Must be my current obsession with pneumatic guns.

With that said, the most most efficient ratio for a combustion gun is .8:1. When you exceed that by using an overly large chamber on the same barrel size, you begin to lose power and the sound output increases.

As everyone else has said, about .8:1 is good, but that works best with metered propane.

If you're using spray deodorant, you might get better results with 1:1

Novacastrian: How about use whatever the heck you can get your hands on?
frankrede: Well then I guess it won't matter when you decide to drink bleach because your out of kool-aid.
...I'm sorry, but that made my year.
