Still have the instructions? That would be pretty cool to fire a flare into the air and have it light up a large area (especially if only you can see it).

Edit: I guess you could try wiring up 20 IR LEDs and a 555 Timer to give it a delay.

nah my friend moved last summer and he still hasn't finished unpacking everything (he had a lot of stuff), I'll email him and see if he found them though.
