That might work, but CO2 sprays have a nasty habit of giving you an evil equivalent of the bends.

While we're at this, has anyone ever had liquid nitrogen Ice-cream? (not ice-cream made from liquid nitrogen, ice-cream cooled with liquid nitrogen.)

Novacastrian: How about use whatever the heck you can get your hands on?
frankrede: Well then I guess it won't matter when you decide to drink bleach because your out of kool-aid.
...I'm sorry, but that made my year.

_Fnord wrote:If you want to get the butane out in its liquid form, buy a computer case duster(I think its basically a can of co2) and turn it upside down and release the liquid c02 into a cup. then just through the butane canister in the liquid for a few minutes and it should be cooled to well below its boiling point, and you should be able to open it up safely. Remove it with a pair of tongs or pliers.

Wear gloves!!

I’ve measured the temperature of case duster gas to be -60F, but thats only because my thermometer doesn’t go any lower.
Butane boils at 31F, which means you could just throw it in the freezer, but it would return to gaseous state very soon.

hey!hey! looks like I'm not an idiot after all
