An average aerosol powered combustion launcher will generate ~30 - 40psi inside the chamber, which is not nearly enough to cause DWV parts to fail.

I wouldn't take a DWV PVC pneumatic launcher over 80psi.

Do some research.

Primer and cement is always the way to go when building it out of PVC. (Even though I forget to primer sometimes  )

But I just made a copper cannon, and I used this stuff called "CopperBond" and it supposedly can withstand 175-200psi because it can be used for emergency sprinkler systems. (On ceilings for fighting fires) It didn't seem to work well since i can twist one of the chambers along a joint. I probably didn't glue it properly, so I get to re-glue that joint sometime soon. So I don't die.

You need both primer and cement. Read up on solvent welding:

Are you talking about Plumber's Goop? If so, I've actually had a good experience with it. Although I definitely wouldnt use it for joining pipes, it's great for adding extras to your gun or patching up holes. It's also highly elastic so if it does fail it gives you some leeway. They seemed to have redone the formula so it isn't as adhesive as it used to be...

On pneumatics it's a total no-no, it seems to slowly bubble and explode at around 50 PSI.
