Only if you buy a brass one...

I know for a fact that they sell precut and 10' lengths of pressre rated 3" PVC at HD, if your lookin for it.

But you're gonna need a brass one if it's planned to hold 100-150psi

PVC ball valves are rated to 150 psi at 73 degrees.

K, thx Fnord for the ideas! Here's the new pic; it is lower quality, but 1/5th the size of before. I also updated the pic on the first post. Its almost perfect quality, but half the file size.

Steve, a 2'' ball valve is 10$ online. It said rated to 225 psi, I think, but that was test pressure. 150 "working pressure" - I guess thats the number I need, huh. And yeah, at our HD I saw 3" pipe rated to 250 psi. (I Think?)

I might have to go with brass and sch 80 to be safe, though. Origin, I heard of using a fire extinguisher, but I have not looked into it. A possibility, though.

My gun is basicly a hybrid with a piston, so i'll get some ideas off the hybrid page.

I just notaced a couple problems wwith my new designs.

1. When I fill the Chamber from the pilot, it would fill both tanks, or just the front one. Meaning I would have to empty the primary chamber to do a combustion.

2. When I shoot the first pnuematic shot, the pilot empties, and needs to be refiled. However, in refilling, air leaks around the pilot, unless I put an O-ring around it. Also, this would mean I have to pressurise the tanks and pilot separatly.

3. How am I gonna afford a compressor that reaches to 200 psi? Or should I make the second tank much larger than the first so I don't have to get the pressure up? Maybey if the primary was 1ft, and the secondary was 3 ft, I could pressureise it to 150 psi.

Questions

1. Will I be able to find 2.5 inch fittings for my gun at a reasonable price. I am leaning towards a tennis ball barrel.

2. Basicly, I do not want a decrease in preformance for the second shot. If the tanks were the same size, and same psi, would I loose power? The second shot would have the same volume of air, but lower psi.

3. And last, should I make other posts with the ideas from this thread? Like the magazine cartrage? In its own way, I think it is a better idea than the "preloaded pnuematic cartrage" idea. jk. Much easier, the only diference is that the tanks are not in the cartrage.
