locking doorknobs

Post stuff here pertaining to non-spud related projects that many forum members seem to enjoy. Hovercrafts, dirt bikes, electronics, propane-powered bikes, go-karts, etc. This is more of a project area,
not a place to chat about what you saw yesterday on TV. Remember to keep it within the forum rules!

everybody knows the kind of doorknobs that have the push-button lock on the inside, right? Well there is a hole on the outside of the door where you can stick a coat hanger or small dowel, push, and unlock the door from the outside. Well my question is, does anybody have any ideas on how i can make it where you cannot unlock the door from the outside?

Change the lock.
Add a dead bolt.

EDIT-mind you the things they mess with are a $100 air pistol, a $700 paintball gun, a compound bow, severl large knives, a 36" sword, etc.

Close and lock the door, then apply lots of superglue to the space between the knob and its base. That will keep 'em out!

hmm, why not have a charged camera flash hooked to 2 pieces of thin aluminium tape plaged on the doorknob?
just tell your parents so they don't get shocked if there is a legit need to enter your room ;)

Attach party poppers with the streamers taken out across the door so that they explode when they open it, if that doesn't get rid of them then surely an annoyed older stepbrother brandishing a paintball gun should
