Brobdingnagian Bertha
De$cription - This is a quite large combustian cannon constructed from an 8 foot long piece of 6" Fiberglass Steam pipe. I wrote many of the details of the build in This Thread but if you still have any questions feel free to ask! I have only tested the cannon far enough to see if it would fire, it does. I have not yet fired the coffee can or pot, both will be done when I have more space available than my backyard can offer.

Combustion Chamber - 39" x 6"
Barrel - 54" x 6"
*approx ratio is .72:1
Ignition - BBQ ignitor producing a single spark towards the rear of the chamber.
Primary Fuel - Metered propane, there is a 53" piece of 3/8" PVC tubing. It takes 15 shots with this meter to fuel the chamber.
Ammunition? So what fits in a 6" diameter pipe? Plant pots. And old Large Yuben coffee cans...8)

I'll decide after I hear some hangtime specs.

Could you try to shoot some type of fruit or veggie so it makes a BIG splat?

Well a couple days back I dared to take a good shot with my cannon to try and get hang time estimate for you Spuzi. I filled the can with roughly an inch of gravel and sand and epoxied the lid on. It shot up through my large sycamore tree in my backyard (clearing a path through the branches/twigs as it went.) The hang time was more then 6 secs, but definetly less then 10. I know its a rough estimate, I was concerning myself with my neighbors freaking out (one fo thm thought her car had exploded...) I managed to count to 6 secs before it hit, but I then redirected my attention to my neighbor in her backyard.

Well the Edit button appears to be broken. Well over this three-day weekend, I was able to shoot my cannon. It works quite well. So here are some videos ad a picture from that trip. Average hang time was around 7-8secs. Most of the videos are of quite lean mixtures, I didn't really get the mixture right until after we were done filming. The max hangtime that I counted was roughly 10seconds (I counted to 12 but I highly doubt that I can correctly count seconds.)

Added 2/20: 3 more videos which were taken from my camera phone. The first one is with me, the second two are of my cousin ("HI" on the forums.)
