Gort's New Hybrid

Just build a cannon and want to show it off? Post it in here.

Galfisk linked directly to the board I used above. I would use the one Harmon linked to though.

Thanks DR. I was hoping you'd like it. I did consider using a slip cap. Went with this because I figured a fan would help performance a bit and because the cost was no concern. I got myself a box of schedule 80 fittings off eBay for under $50. The only extra part I needed was the threaded cap (or a slip cap). I'll make another if this one blows up. I got parts for it so it's no biggie. :p If something is gonna blow, chances are it would be the union, not the thread plug, no?

And yeah, I did have that problem with the leaky threads. I ended up buying some thick 3/4" width teflon tape for the back end and did as you said, and tightened the shit out of it. I put the hex in the vise, put a strap-wrench on the female adapter and went at it.

I can't wait to actually use this thing!

Amazing hybrid. It truly is a lot better than your first (which I though was pretty good). I agree that the metering system looks very nice.

Make sure to retake those pictures, and maybe some videos while your at it :p

I always like a clean looking cannon and that one is a fine piece of work. I like the metering setup a lot, and wireless control too. All we need now is another indian summer so you can get some damage pictures up.

RIGHT! I guess I lied on here. I haven't used the wireless part for a while because the remote needs a new battery.

Okay, announcement then: The box shown uses a cicuit off eBay which is actually no longer available so don't ask how to find it. That is the reason I now use the ones off AllElectronics.
