Piston

Just starting to spud and wonder how long your barrel should be? Want to know how to build a better cannon? This is just the place! Would I use McMaster part #90133A440 or #90133A435 for the sealing face on my 1 1/2" piston valve.

I ask mainly because I don't know if the one that's exactly 1 1/2" in diameter will be big enough where-as I could cut down on the 2" one.

You would want the bigger one. The inside diameter of 1.5" pipe is actually closer to 1.6".

I'd actually suggest getting a large sheet of neoprene and you can cut it exactly how you need and you'll have more for later. Take a look at #8568K2.

Another thing that works very well is a inner tube from a bike. Thats what i used and it seals evey time.
