Help with multiple ignition

Post questions and info about combustion (flammable vapor) powered launchers here. This includes discussion about fuels, ratios, ignition systems and anything else relevant to launchers powered by igniting things like hairspray or propane.

Hey, i need some help on witch method of ignition i should use if i want to ignite multiple (6) barells at the same time. i was thinking about using a static BBQ igniter then just splitting it and wiring it to all six barells.

Any thoughts?

How long can the wires be with this ignition?

Well, I already see one problem:

Using a static BBQ ignitor to make 6 sparks is not going to work. They can barely make one. My recomendation is to use a 100KV stungun.

Make the wires as short as possible.

A BBQ igniter can produce 6 small (~2mm) sparks. Whether such a spark is enough to actually ignite the fuel depends on what fuel you are using, aswell as the air/fuel ratio and mixing of the fuel.

Hook it to a automotive coil and a distributer. Make a crank to turn the distributer by hand. You'll chain fire it.

The disributer will change the current of the electricity to each barrel.. and i think the coil will supply the spark but will it create a continous spark?
