So anything past say 4" is gonna be hard to find and expensive? Im just wondering cause I am learning how to use a lathe at school and I wanna try to make a really big piston valve.

3 Years ago a 6" cross was $270.00.
Tees where I live are just under $100.00...I think.

Once you get so big, your barrel will hold your performance back. If you have a 4" ported valve, to a two and a half inch barrel...your barrel will just be holding your valve back.

Id just go 3" for the biggest, its plenty large.

well if I used a 4" Tee I would also use a 3" barrel
